What is family services

What are family support services? People who seek or are sought after to participate in these homes have no other resource to turn to. Family Support helps families access a broad array of supports and services , including formal supports (such as paid respite care) and informal supports (such as parent-to-parent connections) and a community system of services that promote the well-being of families and their children with special needs. Family support services are community-based services that assist and support parents in their role as caregivers.


Such services can take many different forms depending on the strengths and needs of the family, but their overarching goal is to help parents enhance skills and resolve problems to promote optimal child development.

In the face of Coronavirus concerns, it is our goal to provide uninterrupted delivery of services that our community and clients have come to rely upon. The compassion, knowledge and professionalism of the staff in regards to how they interact with the communities they serve I feel, is above and beyond. We provide information and referral services for low-to-moderate income older and disabled residents of the Bucks County Housing Authority (BCHA) managed housing sites. The Temporary Assistance Program provides assistance to needy families with children so they can be cared for in their own home by promoting job preparation , work and marriage. Funds may also be used to prevent non-marital pregnancies and encourage the formation and maintenance of two-parent families.


In Phase III, we’re continuing to practice, evaluate and revise the procedures we put in place to protect the safety of our clients, staff and volunteers as appropriate by order of Governor Pritzker. We offer professional counseling, crisis, case management, home care and other community based supportive services to youth, adults and families who are experiencing emotional or personal challenges, have experienced a traumatic life event or are concerned about.

We do this by partnering with our community to build safe, nurturing and stable families, support family preservation when possible, and provide permanent families for those children who cannot safely return home and to ensure the well-being of children. Our Promise Our programs vary, but there is one significant constant: a commitment to care for each individual with kindness, dignity and compassion regardless of age, race or income.


Our goal for modifying the way we deliver services has been to meet our clients’ needs while protecting the safety of our clients, staff, and volunteers. We serve more than 10clients each year, addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and financial stability. To that en to honestly call itself a family. Our mission is to provide human services designed to enable families and individuals of all ages to deal successfully with continuing changes and challenges that occur throughout the family life cycle. Eligibility criteria apply for each service.


Cost for services are based either on WV State mandated fees guidelines, or donations based on financial means. It requires an immense amount of trust to talk to someone about difficult experiences, let alone a complete stranger. TAKING CARE OF FAMILIES Beyond salary, education and housing benefits, there are valuable Army family support services for Soldiers and their families.


These include, but are not limited to, support groups, counseling and training.

Many of the services are offered free or at discounted prices. We are a non-profit social service agency engaged in game changing work which helps children and families live their BEST lives. Family Care is a Medicaid long-term care program for frail elders, and adults with physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities. People in the program receive long-term care services to help them live in their own home whenever possible.


To understand Family Care, it helps to know what “long-term care” is. Our programs and staff assist children and their families overcome developmental learning challenges in their most critical formative years using play-based instruction designed to help them move forward. No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
