Costa rica cell phone service

Does Costa Rica have cell service? They have a stand at the baggage claim area of the San Jose airport where you can buy a prepaid SIM card for about $4. This money is then applied to your account. ICE currently supports GSM and 3G technologies.


Nearly everyone has one and generally they work well.

Service is also very cheap at just over $ 7. The TravelPass doesn’t include any extra minutes or data. It just allows you to use the minutes and data from your existing plan while you’re in Costa Rica. T-Mobile is a little different.
