Camsis self service

Self - Service should be used by students in conjunction with the explanatory notes and supplementary information set out in the manage your student information section, where details of the range of allowances, permissions etc, and how to apply for them, are explained. Setting up your access If you are a new student or a student who is returning to study after a break Enter your application number and name and you will receive passwords for all the accounts you need at the University (Raven, Hermes and Public Workstation Facility – PWF). The Self - Service account tells you everything you need to know about the progress of your offer, including finding out about College membership. It is also where you can provide documents to meet your offer conditions.


It is important that you check your Self - Service account regularly as this is the primary way in which we will communicate with. There is some information here about Graduate Applicant Self - Service. All the other Self - Service account pages have a similar link, which is context sensitive.


Employee Self - Service (ESS) allows you direct access to some of your data held in the Human Resources system, CHRIS (Cambridge Human Resources Information System) and the University Payroll system. You do not have to do this if you are remaining in Cambridge.


If you have been granted leave to work away because of coronavirus disruption and your requested end date is approaching please do not submit a new application at this point. Supervisors will be able to comment on self evaluation reports, but will also be expected to complete a Michaelmas term report. In order to access PFRS reports it is necessary to to your CAMSIS self-service account. If you cannot see any reports, please ask your Supervisor to submit one as soon as possible. On graduation, students no longer have access to CamSIS , however they do have access to Extended Self Service (ESS) where grades and unofficial transcripts may be viewed.


Including additional material: You may seek permission though your CamSIS Self-Service page if you wish to submit additional materials alongside your thesis (e.g. a CD-Rom, DV memory stick or video). You should still submit your via your CamSiS self-service account. Details of how to do this are given in the University’s booklet: ‘Understanding the conditions of your offer’ which is available from the Graduate Admissions website. Please do not submit documents directly to the Department unless explicitly asked to do so.


Applying for changes to your student status. Information and forms for applying for changes to your student status, such things as intermission (a break from study), leave to work away from Cambridge, or an extension to your submission date are available via your CamSIS self-service account. Please check your CamSIS Self-Service to check who your Tutor is. Contact details for all Tutors can be found under the Tutors tab.
