2001 Nissan maxima service engine soon light

There are lots of service bulletins regarding driveability problems on this car and model year. Count seven seconds, depress the gas pedal and hold it down for seconds or until the service engine soon light begins flashing. Lift the pedal and begin to make a note of the codes.

Each code will be a series of four numbers. Count the flashes from one to 1 being 0.

Average failure mileage is 80miles. I had the Idle Air Control Valve replaced and the light is still on. Now the car revs up and down while in park and sometimes while in drive. I was told the Engine Control Module may have burned out because I did smell a funny oder a while back as well. When The Car Is Cold I Have To.

Service Engine Soon Light (Maxima ) ISOKE9. Vehicle was under 80emissions warranty. Dealer reprogrammed the ecm.

The check engine light is a light to warn you to a possible issue with your exhaust system or emissions system. Osensor and catalytic converter are bad. Some manufacturers use them as a check engine light for minor problems.

It could also mean that it is time for a scheduled service , such as oil or spark plug replacement. Turn the ignition key to the ON position and wait three seconds. Do not start the car.

He gave an estimate of $ 7including labor. Also, if you would like to contribute to this. The most recently reported issues are listed below. I AM BEGGING FOR ANY ADVISE. Push and hold the accelerator for seconds.

The SES light will start to flash. Fully release the accelerator pedal. It took me a few tries to get it, but it worked. Autozone said just removing the negative battery wire for minutes would do it. I left it off for about an hour.

Started the car and the light is still on.

Anyone know how to turn the light off? I checked the codes from Autozone. Nissan Maxima service engine light stays on code from Auto Zone scanner is PO1and PO138. What should my next step be to solve this problem.

I went to go get it checked out and there was nothing wrong and the light went off. It then came back on and now refuses to go off. Any suggestions on ways to fix it?

You can also remove the light bulb. Connect scan tool to the 16-pin data link connector (DLC) located underneath the steering column. The connector may have a removable cover.

So about six weeks ago after driving home from work and after filling my gas tank up I went back out to my car and noticed that there was a wet spot under my car I put a tissue under and discovered that. The service engine light began flashing while all this was happening.
