4H community service

In 4-H , service is commonly defined as the voluntary action of an individual or a group of individuals without pay. Service learning creates an atmosphere where youth continue to develop important life skills. Set up a volunteer referral service between your school or organization and other community organizations. Write or make a picture book to read to a younger youth.

As a 4‑H ’er in Wilmington, Delaware, Aubrey engaged in service projects that showed her the impact young people can make on their communities. These life-changing experiences instilled compassion, confidence and other life skills that have shaped Aubrey today. YLO is open to any 4-H member in grades and up.

YLO plans and participates in community service projects throughout the year, including Trick-or-Treat for the Hungry in October.
